Already a leading light in the quest for fair and ethical trade, The Organic Herb Trading Company has for 25 years pioneered ethical trading by developing and upholding long and fruitful relationships with growers and producers across the globe. These relationships are integral to the supply of high quality and reliable organic ingredients being supplied into the culinary, medicinal and body-care markets.

Building on this history, a new source of Fairtrade certified spices has been developed in India to provide fantastic quality spices from 2000 small farmers across three states of southern India. The FAIRTRADE Mark is an independent guarantee that disadvantaged producers in the developing world are getting a better deal. Fairtrade farmers receive a minimum price that covers the cost of sustainable production and an extra premium that is invested in social or economic developments projects, such as clean water pipes, schools or housing.

These new spices which include Vanilla, Turmeric, Ginger, Nutmeg, Black and White Pepper are joining a host of products that are finding their way into all the brands we see every day, from pizza and ready meals sold in our local supermarkets to condiments and recipes available in the worlds most famous restaurants.
