Moringa Powder

Our newest delivery of Moringa powder from India is now in stock. Our Purchasing assistant Caroline tells us about Moringa based on her personal experience.

Caroline Adams spent nearly three years living in West Africa before joining Organic Herb Trading. Whilst there, it was common for people to use a native 'vegetable' called Moringa as a tea or general-use green leafy vegetable, mainly at times of poor health (similar to how we use vitamin supplements during cold season in the UK). In West Africa, Moringa trees grow wild across the entire region, flourishing in arid areas, and the plant is usually used fresh. Caroline began using it daily in her morning tea as well as adding it into most meals, to see if there was any benefit to her own health and that of her family.

It became apparent that when Caroline's children’s school friends had annual colds and bugs, hers remained fit as a fiddle! General health remained high during their whole stay there, and the only dietary changes they had made were adding Moringa (and Baobab, which is very high in vitamin C) to their diets, so they were all quickly converted!

Moringa has high levels of bioavailable protein, fibre, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, and since returning to the UK Moringa has remained a staple addition to Caroline's family's diet.
