New Season Egyptian Crops
Working in partnership with our suppliers has never been more important than now, and we are pleased that stocks are beginning to arrive into the country as a result of the ongoing relationships we have built.
Throughout all that the recent months have presented we have continued to work hard to try and support our producers, sourcing high quality organic herbs from origin. Egypt is no exception, it remains a crucial source for many organic herbal items, and we have recently started to see some of the new season crops arriving into our warehouse. These first items include Marigold flowers and whole Chamomile flowers. The Chamomile will be of particular interest to tea companies, as we have worked with our growers on a shorter stem length, enabling better packing into pyramid-style tea bags, or for more uniform loose leaf tea blends.
Our work in Egypt is a continuation of a partnership that has seen dedicated organic growing on converted desert land. This helps reduce the ever present risks of contamination in the crop from background pollution, often from contaminated water sources that are a legacy of industrial non-organic farming. We have worked closely to support producers and those working in the processing and grading facilities, with training to help us achieve the standards that you, our customers, demand.
